SMART-WORKING
New technologies completely revolutionized and changed our lives and the way we work.
As the Future of Work conference date approaches, IDC painted the following scenario: in 2020 Millennials will become the main global workforce, moreover within 2021, 60% of global companies will adopt the “Future Workspace” and so they will transform the way their employees work.
It is a new concept of workspace; it is both physical and virtual, smart and flexible and it is aimed at improving employee’s productivity and experience. Workspace, workforce and work culture will undergo a complete transformation.
Our workplaces will be transformed with AI and other innovative ways of collaboration among users. As a consequence, the HR Department will also be affected, particularly recruitment and employees’ performance evaluation will be transformed. As a matter of fact, KBI (Key Behavioral Indicators) will take the place of the mainstream KPI in about 35% of companies. These new indicators will measure the so-called soft skills, which never had the importance they are given now.
In February a conference will be held in Milan. During this event, new technologies for new ways of working will be analysed, and it will be given a clearer picture of how to prepare for an automated future.
